One month later, on April 24, the only State Key Laboratory in the cemented carbide industry - the State Key Laboratory of cemented carbide was officially started in Zhuzhou Hardware Plant.
As a national laboratory, the research direction of the State Key Laboratory of Cemented Carbide is to meet the major national needs and solve the pain points of industry development.
When the team was established in early 2010, the laboratory had undertaken more than 60 major national, provincial, and municipal scientific and technological projects, obtained 41 invention patents in fields such as cutting tools, IT precision tools, and wear-resistant materials, and formulated more than 40 national and industry standards. Last year, we conducted scientific research restructuring with Hunan University and Northwest University of Technology, and the research and development team of Zhuzhou hard alloy was upgraded again.
The industry scale of Zhuzhou hard alloy is also actively preparing for upgrading.
Official data show that at present, the output of cemented carbide in Zhuzhou accounts for more than 40% of the national industry, and the export earnings account for nearly 40% of the whole industry. The overseas order sales revenue ranks first in China, the industrial chain output value exceeds 38.5 billion yuan, and the industrial scale ranks first in Asia and third in the world.
