High Pressure Grinding Roll (also known as Roller Presses or HPGR) are mostly used in the cement industry. High pressure roller mills are usually used for the third or fourth stage crushing of hard stones in the self grinding process and for squeezing iron concentrate in pellet ore to increase specific surface area. The pressure and maximum feed particle size of the high pressure roller mill are determined by the hard alloy studs or tungsten carbide cylinder or carbide buttons on the equipment.
Due to the abrasiveness of ore and the effectiveness of ore crushing, high requirements are put forward for hard alloy studs or tungsten carbide studs. From the perspective of transmission structure, driving the motor to output the same torque can reduce the wear rate of the roller surface more than outputting the same speed. In addition to the new feeding, the maximum particle size and particle size distribution of the feeding shall be strictly controlled, and the rolling and power shall be reasonably matched. If the surface of the column nail is damaged, the wear-resistant layer can be automatically produced; If the damage depth of the column nails is significant, they need to be replaced or small column nails embedded around them, or repaired by welding; If the large area of roller surface column nails and the matrix detachment will be a serious problem, it is required to strictly regulate the quality of forgings, heat treatment process, and assembly of matrix holes and column nails during the manufacturing process.
