1. Select a down-hole drill bit based on the rock conditions (hardness, abrasiveness) and the type of drilling rig (high wind pressure, low wind pressure). Different forms of tungsten carbide teeth and tooth arrangement methods are suitable for drilling different rocks. Choosing the correct DTH drill bit is a prerequisite for achieving the best usage effect;
2. When installing a down-hole drill bit, it is necessary to gently place the drill bit into the down-hole impactor clamp sleeve, and do not collide with force to avoid damaging the drill bit tail handle or clamp sleeve;
3. During the rock drilling process, it is necessary to ensure that the compressed air pressure of the down-hole drill is sufficient. If the impactor is working intermittently or the powder discharge from the borehole is not smooth, the compressed air system of the down-hole drilling rig should be checked to ensure that there is no rock debris in the borehole during the drilling process;
4. If metal objects are found to fall into the hole, they should be promptly sucked out with a magnet or removed by other methods to avoid damaging the drill bit;
5. When replacing the drill bit, pay attention to the size of the drilled hole. If the diameter of the drill bit is excessively worn, but the blast hole has not been drilled yet, a new drill bit cannot be replaced to avoid jamming. You can use old drill bits that have been used and have a roughly the same wear diameter to complete the operation.
